Dem a family? Mi hear im seh...
And I know what this means... We here in Jamaica tend to adopt cousins and support people based on personal preferences, similarities or longstanding friendships, school ties and mutual allies.
Its commonplace for people to introduce persons as family most often cousins where there is some family link possibly. Or maybe its not even proven or certain if there are any actually family ties, but the bonds are as strong as family or at times even stronger. Bonds made through kinship, community and communal living that creates extended families.
The issue I am concerned about is that often times I notice there is a culture, even in workplaces and business places. Of supporting persons based on biases and personal preferences, to the point of ignoring the rules and regulations completely. Which results in a situation where fairness is not applied most often, in fact there can be observed an acceptance for completely prejudicial treatment. Treating even customers differently dependent on friendships is not ethical really and its not good business practice either!
I am offering as a Freelance Communications Consultant, and a Specialist in Sales, Marketing and Promotion, a Customer Service training program. WINNING by ANY MEANS Necessary?
Its not to win at all if it means you didn't win really you only made persons believe you won, because you actually tricked, paid, cheated, compelled, connived, manipulated, blackmailed and corrupted the competition or even totally annihilated the competition in order to sabotage their possible attempt to counterattack.
Is it really worth celebrating a win if it wasn't won by talent, skill or genuine hardwork, or real merit?!~

LADIES 1st or NOT?
Another observation about cultural practices that are contradictory to our traditional culture and popular beliefs...
Ladies before Gentlemen! so they say but...yet nowadays you find that men are competing with women like never before!
Especially I have observed time and time again in the music business, I see that women are expected to constantly accept being treated as secondary to their male counterparts.
The old fashioned Jamaican culture of chivalry, still exists to a certain extent but much of the practices of the past have been almost altogether forgotten. And in the younger generation its almost impossible to find or rare. These days its pretty hard to find a Lady let alone a real Gentleman!
The days when a man would purposefully walk on the outside whilst the lady took the inside lane, or hold open a door for a female, or give up a seat on a bus even or secure them in a taxi before finding their own are almost completely gone. Still with all of the effort gone, there are still a lot of men who after pushing the woman out of the way, still want to be given the benefit of being treated like THE MAN!
Hold on a minute?.. I am all for development, evolution, equality and respecting rights for both sexes. But you cant foresake the old traditions of chivalry in favor of more modern practices of women holding their own, but still want to play the role of being the Superior sex, or playing the role of THE BIG MAN - only when it suits you!
The change is either in effect or it isn't, its either equal rights and Justice for all or none. It cant be that we pick and chose when to advance and regress when it suits us. Or persons are only modernized when they feel like it and as soon as the situation becomes a little uncomfortable they revert back to old stereotypes to suit!~

BRING it to the Owner!
This blog has become a place of therapy for me to air my views and observances and often although it is related to my current experiences in Jamaica. I do realise that a lot of what I experience, a lot of my gripes and what I complain about here is actually taking place everywhere in the world!
Morality is low in a lot of places and there are very few principled persons who actually really do care about the world, humanity and the feelings of others it seems.
Still I am thankful for the few gems that are still here, shining their light in the midst of the darkness...
My post today relates to the fact that I observe a culture that is very specific to Jamaica and to a certain type of person, who does not like to purchase their own things but likes to take over other persons property, things, ideas and act as if it were their own.
I have noticed a common habit of taking things for granted and enjoying the habit of not paying for things, often simplest little things. Other times it extends to important things like utilities, water, light and then, its not even appreciated. If you disagree try dropping your hat, or an umbrella or even a simple pen or a headphone in a public place and see if there is anyone that will take it and ensure it is safely returned to the owner. If you even leave your property in a business place, a store that you regularly patronize, it would be a unusual, pleasant exception if upon returning there the item that was mistakenly left is still there. The habit of persons stealing other persons property as a habit, even when its not necessary is just so commonplace its almost expected or accepted.
That is the issue it has become so acceptable for persons to just take anything they want, or to take every opportunity to take something, it could be so minor. Is there really any point to stealing a half broken umbrella or a pen that cost so little to purchase? Most places in the world cellphone theft is commonplace and expected, but this habit of just stealing anything for the sake of stealing it is ridiculous!
But the practice of taking things that you dont pay for yourself, such as properties, a car even and then charging other persons for the use of it, illegally. This is really taking the culture of abuse of power to the extreme.

RIGHTS to choose!
Can a man, a lover, a friend in this day and age really take a woman's personal freedom and choice away without her knowledge...
I'm not sure if I am hearing right?..I heard a story... Is it really true that in this modern era, the year 2017 that a Woman can be subjected to not only the choices of her Husband, Her Spouse, Her common law partner, who she lives with and does business with etc
But is it really possible that A friend, A lover, an ex lover even or maybe even someone who is only a friend, an associate. Or maybe even it could be that a person who has been stalking for years and has never even had a conversation with this person, but has managed to obtain a lot of personal information through deceptive, fraudulent methods is able to now qualify as having the right to dis-empower any woman he chooses to by claiming to be responsible for a woman that he has no right to. Claiming to be involved personally and even presenting false information and making false statements to that effect.
Honestly I really am at a loss.. surely God who gave us all the right to chose in Genesis in the beginning didn't say except... me. I don't believe anyone has the right to chose for me or to take away my freedom to chose. That is a GOD given right!
Not even a family member, a parent, or some responsible person in a supposed position of authority. But especially not any so called "friend", or well meaning presumed innocent, ignorant, self-serving, opportunist that is just trying to literally take the piss and use another person's suffering as an opportunity to elevate themselves.
The road to Hell is paved with good intentions... Really beware about who you support and what ideaology you adhere to!

ASS-U-Me~!
Assumptions as they say are the Mother of all F$%&! Ups and I really dislike people who choose to assume, instead of doing their research.
When assuming instead of researching and asking the right questions to check the facts, its a misuse and real waste of all of the FREE resources that are available to us to use in this modern age. Not only that but its not a good use of our mental capabilities, the brains huge potential capacity to analyse properly or our reasoning ability.
So why is it then, that persons chose to continue assuming on a daily basis, assuming they know what you are saying before you have even finished your sentence, assuming that they know what you are about to say, before you say it even~! Assuming that they know the answer already, so they don't even listen or allow you to finish your sentence, before interrupting. Assuming that they know where you are going to, or if they see someone with you assuming that you are involved and even voicing this loudly, without any thought for respect of privacy.
I wonder sometimes if some persons conversations are actually a competition for airtime with a time limit in effect. If they don't buzz in with an answer before a certain time, their argument expires and they lose points!
The worst type of Assumption, something I see everyday, here in Jamaica. The regular daily activity of Assuming Responsibility! Assuming responsibility for things that persons are neither trained, qualified or experienced enough to deal with are commonplace here. Often there is a need to feel useful, to care for or attend to the needs of a "damsel in distress". The culture is still even today for men to take care of women, so when I was driving and stopped at the roadside for assistance it never took long for someone to profess to being a mechanic and arrive on the scene to help! However the issue is even though I am a female driver, I sometimes know more about the mechanical workings of my car than them. That being the case sometimes I would have to politely and even not politely ask them to stop, as the liability and costs of fixing the issue would not be with them but with me. Sometimes when you refuse the help of a willing stranger it can be offensive, but isn't it better to offend than to suffer the consequences and the costs of staying silent and not protecting my rights and the possible accidental damage of my property.
Often this is caused by the fact that persons who are in the responsible positions are not living up to their responsibilities at all. Or else the resources are not being properly managed so that adequate budget can be given to taking care of certain tasks and so they are not afforded the proper materials or attention.
For example, often the road works contractors here are blamed for the poor quality of roads and for the damage that takes place every time it rains. This is caused by contracts being given to companies that hire people and then pay them minimum wage to do the work and still the materials that are necessary to complete the job are not properly provisioned. Regularly this has been known to take place and the money is redistributed to other areas and then road surfaces remain in need of repair or more often not properly repaired.
To attend to this need often citizens, young men in the community mostly, will spend their own money or pool resources and find materials to fix the road themselves in exchange for donations from passing vehicles. This is one of the kindest and nicest ways of illustrating this point as this use of constructive thought, teamwork and initiative is actually demonstrative of the positive side of this assuming responsibility issue. However the persons who are responsible for fixing the road and ensuring the standards of the road surface meet the requirements for Road Safety are not being held responsible. If there is an accident on that same road who is responsible for accepting liability?
So the issue with assuming responsibility isn't only about if the person is in fact capable, or intelligent or able to effectively help provide a solution. The issue is who will be responsible for accepting the responsibility if the issue is not satisfactorily resolved. If the solution does not work as expected or there are other unexpected results that occur, the issue gets worse and the more persons try to fix things, it only exacerbates the problem.
Therefore I suggest more effort be made to change the issues which are systemic, and effect positive developments within the constraints of the system. So that the persons who are responsible are made to own up to that responsibility, to do the work or provide the services they are paid for or be replaced!
*These are my opinions that are non-aligned with any Political, Cultural, Religious group or any other Organisations and not based on any stories, or third-party information, but are from my own personal observations

TOO much CON not enough COM - fort, passion, community!
Have you ever thought about how many words in our vocabulary start with CON?! Maybe that is why we live in an era where there are so many cons, scams, hustles and illusions. People hungry for opportunity, money, "blings and things".. Are often attracted by schemes that sound too good to be true! And more often than not they are...
But why so much Cons, Consultation, Conversation, Contest, Contending, Contention, Congested, Confidence, Conspiracy.... Shall I go on! Where is the Com?! Comfort, Compassion, Community, Compliance, Comprehension?!
We all need comfort in life but is it worth being completely without Conscience?! That is the one Con that I really put my confidence in - Conscience is the ability to hear the voice of reason, the spirit of God within you helping you discern the difference between right and wrong!

IGNORANCE is not BLISS?!
Do we really think that sticking our head in the sand, or hiding our faces like a cat whilst our tails are still showing.. will solve a problem. We need to grow up and realize, hiding will not make things disappear!
Neither will not taking calls, ignoring emails or just ignoring the problem in general - it is not proven to be an effective remedy at the best of times... Let alone when things become a real situation or heightened to reach an emergency or crisis. How effective is it to ignore an emergency - lets see shall we just hope the person goes away, perhaps they might die and leave the rest of us in peace and with more time for enjoyment and fun!? Perhaps.. It might not be best to hold out breaths though and wait or we might just have been, fooling ourselves even more and wishing for our own early retirement!
Does ignoring a problem make it go away... No! If I ignore this persons phone calls who I owe money to, will it mean that the money will be paid?! NO! If the person I owe hears me saying ignorant, disrespectful things to them or about them will it help my case - hmmm lets see - NO!
If a company, business or store cannot provide a person their requested goods and services as promised and there is an issue or some other problem and the person wants to complain, get a refund or rectify the problem. Does it help if the company rep or store clerk ignores the problem and walks away. NO!
In Jamaica everyone knows how to take money, count money and collect money but they don't know how to deal with paying, giving it back or handling a situation when there is a problem.
THIS IS A GENERALIZATION and i'm only expressing my opinion based on experience, observances and broad-based research.

If HEARSAY is not admissable in Court...
Then why are so many people being held on remand for Hearsay for such long periods of time, Why are a lot of the Police I have approached, it seems not investigating cases properly, why do they use their personal opinions to draw full blown conclusions without proper analysis, and why are public prosecutions of persons being held, on the basis of hearsay?..
Conclusions are being drawn, contingencies put in place.. Opinions are formed and cemented in the minds of persons fixated on being judge, jury and often times even executioner.. all before the evidence has even been properly examined if at all, examined. Before any investigation has even taken place into the legitimacy of the information being propagated!
Propaganda - some persons are probably not even aware what the word really means!? And what does this Propaganda do, what is it used for.. to create a climate where the public is being programmed by stories, propaganda; that is information that is being spread by the media and other sources, and used to affect popular opinion in order to achieve a set agenda.. usually for Political reasons. That is my own interpretation.
The dictionary definition is almost the same..
Propaganda - information, especially of a biased or misleading nature, used to promote a political cause or point of view.
Legitimacy is another issue that I will discuss in a later post.. as there are many issues that we face when it relates to legitimacy and legitimacy of information in general. Not only information though, as in our culture due to the popularity of illegitimate relationships and encouraging illegitimate births by making abortion illegal (that is a whole other subject to write about to itself) there are so many issues with illegitimacy... And families, businesses and even laws that are in a state of disorganisation due to lack of legitimacy and lack of legitimate information as so much has been hidden from us for various reasons over the years.
The issue is that persons in our Culture, already "faaasss" way too much of the time. That means that we often like to comment or offer advice on things that are none of our business or concern, or when its not appropriate. More often than not persons who are not even experienced, educated or informed enough to make a proper evaluation of a given situation are all too happy to speak with authority on matters that they are not even able. With the lack of opportunities available here to develop professionally, especially for young, enthusiastic, bright scholars sometimes the tendency to want to dominate, assume authority can lead persons to overstep their place. Often not taking the time to self-analyse and concentrate on remaining, neutral, productive, concentrate on self-improvement. All too busy looking outside, at other persons faults and find fun and enjoyment in displacing others, especially those who are competitors, with their critique. Often enjoying the temporary relief from their own stressful situations by focusing their energy on relieving their frustrations by taking part in the Sport of defacing others.
However all that being said there really is no excuse for the Police, Justice system or Corrections to allow the system to continue wasting our taxpayers money and limited resources, by keeping people on remand for extended periods of time, without any proper evidence, based on hearsay!
It makes no sense to allow persons to manipulate the system, or encourage fear mongering by harassing, blackmailing or spreading propaganda to encourage persons to discriminate or even publicly prosecute innocent persons by attaching labels or blaming them for acts they didn't commit based on hearsay. When the tools and workforce is in place to fulfill the obligations of investigating crimes and providing evidence to prove beyond a doubt in court that alleged guilty persons are in fact guilty as charged. Until such time as we are able to improve the Justice system here in Jamaica, we should in fact in my humble opinion, suspend all judgment, leave all judgment to God Almighty. And remember all persons are entitled to proper legal representation and a fair trial no matter where in the world they find themselves. Human rights do exist - even in Jamaica!

DIScrimination contd..
FURTHER to my last post I am totally livid at the way that civilians are treated like less valuable and less important than persons in uniform. Every citizen has the same rights, not because a person is in uniform, or has a family member in the security forces does that justify their actions or their needs or their causes any more than any other human being. Neither is there more value in their word, or is their word more likely to be truthful, or are they without fault or weaknesses because of their position. Nor do they have more right to acknowledgement of their Human Rights, Civil Rights, Legal rights or any other rights.
Too many persons in uniform have been allowed to manipulate the system to their advantage and to make disadvantages for other families just to promote themselves, their families and to behave in an elitist manner. These people are still people and there is no perfect person on the face of the earth!

DIScrimination of Persons based on Pregnancy or Parental status?
THIS IS A SERIOUS GRIPE OF MINE at the moment as i'm being subjected to prejudicial treatment even within my own family... based not only on Sibling rivalry but Grand-sibling rivalry. Would you believe? GRAND SIBLING-Rivalry exists and some jealous, possessive Mothers/Fathers even, are encouraging family conflicts over financial support and, entitlement to family assets, property, inheritance etc before their children have even matured.
IS IT A GOOD IDEA to support Mothers or Fathers even, who irresponsibly bring children into the world.. without proper care for hygiene, health, financial support or even conveniences. Let alone mentioning the morality of the issue of persons who are living immoral lifestyles, choosing to raise children in homes that are likely to encourage more of the same unsociable, criminal behavior patterns that their parents have already demonstrated they are unwilling or unable to discontinue. Persons who are in a situation where they are involved in Criminal, high--risk activities or lifestyles are not likely to be recommended as good parent material. When they purposely choose to be impregnated in order to obtain public sympathy for themselves when they know they are WANTED for serious offences, the problem becomes extreme. Are they to be allowed to continue to use their children as a human shield in potentially hazardous places and life-threatening situations, should this be encouraged?!!
Or should the Authorities that protect Children's Rights and families consider taking the children into care, as the law states that the Welfare and Safety of the Children is Paramount?
Is it a good idea to promote or propagate information, or even encourage spreading of propaganda against innocent persons, based on the grounds that this person who is pregnant has a higher need or right to access public services including but not limited to, housing, poor relief, food and other charitable donations, Legal services etc.
Does a person who has blatantly taken advantage of their knowledge of the system serve the Greater good, the interests of National Security, Public Safety, if they are allowed to discriminate against other persons based on the fact that they are pregnant and would like to fulfill a personal vendetta against someone who they have attempted to sabotage and feels that the only possible way they can gain more support or sympathy is to be pregnant. Does this country support criminals, abusing their Justice system and Public Services when they actually have no real need for the financial aid or support. These persons are only attempting to portray themselves as innocent but they indeed do have access to resources that they have acquired illegally and have purposely, irresponsibly put themselves in this situation and are now requesting aid or assistance only in order to maintain the illusion of innocence and purposely attempt to superceed the rights of another citizen.
Does the law operate in a manner of supporting spending taxpayers money, draining our already fragile economy to support personal agendas, criminal behavior, bullying, harassment or favoritism not to mention the wasting of our already limited public services without any conscience for those who are really in need?
I firmly believe in respecting and protecting the rights of all citizens, however if any hierarchy is established in terms of rights to access services; it should be given to positive, innocent, professional, constructive, mentally stable persons with no criminal history and no known personality or behavioral disorders. Encouraging persons to abuse the system, in our current economy is unfeasible and irresponsible, as that could be very costly, in monetary terms, as well as taxing on resources to any organisation that interacts with persons with such a blatant disregard for the needs of other citizens and who has obvious, serious anarchic tendencies.

EINSTEIN The Genius fears we are idiots - correct or not?
I fear the day that technology will surpass our human interaction. The world will have a generation of idiots.
Albert Einstein? Cell Phone Critics? Pranksters? Apocryphal
“The day that Albert Einstein feared may have finally arrived”. The message showed eight pictures of groups of people looking intently at cell phone screens. The people were ignoring one another and were oblivious to their surroundings. The images were being used to comically illustrate the following quotation credited to Albert Einstein
"I fear the day that technology will surpass our human interaction. The world will have a generation of idiots."

Lets us for a moment study and research this idea, have we become more intelligent by using Virtual Reality, Tools, Internet, Intelligence and Smart Phones/TVs or have our minds been trained to become lazy? It can be easily observed in any public place, transportation, event that the Mobile Phone/Tablet or other PED (Personal Electronic Device) have completely taken over most human social interactions. There are few places that persons cannot be seen pointing their phones in the air and snapping "selfies" and group "selfies and being constantly distracted by chat and social media apps that can easily engage persons in a virtual social world and keep them totally distracted from what is going on in the real world around them.
I have even noticed recently that there seems to be an on going rhetoric on Whats app, even possibly a script that persons are following or a story, similar to the drama series that person would have listened to in days of old on the radio. Listening to their favorite programs for the sequel or updates. These days it seems that the program is literally running in real time on the handheld devices. The issue is that with so many anonymous "pranksters" and worse malicious persons using these services, receiving and responding to messages on whats app from unknown persons can be unsafe. Worse if the unsuspecting persons actually take instructions from whats app messages that could have a serious detrimental affect on them and others and even indirectly cause harm to them or other users. I have even heard of persons trying to incite violent and malicious acts after being instructed by messages on whats app?
Honestly there is a lack of moral values, principles and manners being practiced, you can see that clearly by observing this generation of youth. They have grown up in a time where the digital age, virtual reality is leading them more than any other influence it seems. They illustrate how acute this issue really is, and there is a lack of moral value in our culture and society. In fact I think the Moral Fibre of our society at present is completely rotten and need to be replaced, just as much as the Constitution needs to be reformed, our country needs urgent reform.. starting with the YOUTH! As we all know they are the future leaders of this country and very soon they will be the ones making the decisions for us all!
As scary as that sounds - its in fact the reality so we better get with the program, face the harsh reality of the truth and put a handle on the situation sooner rather than later!

Jungle JUSTICE
Is it right to inflict injury in an attempt to offer immediate remedy, or punishment for a situation that has not been properly investigated, thoroughly researched or evidence provided to prove that the person is certainly guilty of the alleged offence. All too easily in Jamaica there has been a habit of branding people too easily with labels, "Tief", "Bitch" or "Maduman' or "Madman!" And then the public reacts, often in a violent or aggressive manner, but is it a good idea to beat a person, especially on the head who is possibly, or in actual fact suffering from a mental problem or brain deficiency of some sort, is that not an illogical and inappropriate mental response to the issue in itself?
Furthermore is it possible to retract such punishment or humiliation once the acts are performed can they be taken back? Can a persons reputation be easily restored once damaged, once words are said can they be erased from persons memory? Once a stigma has been attached to a persons reputation can that be easily removed from the popular opinions of the public that are often more true to most that socialize and commune with their peers, than the actual facts.
These questions need to be asked by persons before they allow their opinions to become the only foundation for their actions. REVENGE IS A DISH BEST SERVED COLD! This expression is so true as some things take time to marinate and to reveal their true nature...
Furthermore if it is said a person is not of sound mind.. or mad or crazy by a person who perhaps dislikes them for whatever reasons. Would this not need to be proven by a medical evaluation and presented in a court. Anyone who perpetuates the opinions of a malicious person, whose opinions are not proven to be fact but rather are merely an attempt to sabotage, are aiding the spreading of liable information and the defaming of that persons character. Let us all be forewarned to be careful what we say... if it cannot be proven, if its not helpful, if its not for the greater good does it help to say it at all?!

MIND your Business!
One thing that I really cant stand is when people don't mind their own business..
I remember my Mother detested my typical Jamaican families culture of hanging in the window... watching, discussing, commenting on the neighbours, what they were driving, what they are wearing, who they are with and where they are going at whichever time..
Remember the saying "Small minds discuss people, medium minds discuss events and Big minds discuss ideas", business etc. Well my mind is constantly thinking of my latest get rich plan, business idea, or invention. I have no time for idle gossip, speculating about peoples personal lives or anything that doesn't have a value. That value doesn't have to be monetary either when I say value let me explain, if it has no value, it means that it doesn't teach me something or help develop my intellect or skills..
I wish I could say the same about most of my peers in Jamaica and elsewhere. Like Vibes Kartel would say "Mind pon mi money and mi money pon mi mind...!" Mi a pree the dollar signs..
Right now I think its about time people use their energy and invest it wisely into things that are productive and that will help develop a better economy that is sustainable for the future generations to continue. It makes no sense discussing people, things that have been said, rumours that spread but no source can be found and no substance either and most times the alleged argument cannot be proven.
As a result people are verbally abused, chastised, ridiculed, embarrassed and humiliated often times for no reason at all other than to please the perverse nature of people to enjoy watching persons suffer for the pure enjoyment of it. This is one of the ugliest realities of our culture here in Jamaica. There is really nothing at all to gain from enjoying publicly hurting people either mentally, emotionally or physically. Even if the person has offended you actually after the beating, the humiliation does it actually change the facts? Does it actually replace what is broken, what is already dead or who is able to cause the blame to be shifted from the guilty to innocent persons who now are baring the brunt of the punishment for what they haven't even done?
Meanwhile time and time again whilst the innocent are made to pay in often horrific ways, those who are responsible in fact manage to escape being found out. They feel that they are able to run things, and turn things around in their favour by using their wits, their connections and the power of manipulation to take advantage of the vulnerable. Persons who are less fortunate in terms of finance, or connections and have less power, legal counsel or tools available to them are often forced to pay the price for those who are in a position to afford an alternative.
So many children and young people have been raised in this system, that they are actually sadly a product of this ruthless culture. So much is this apparent more than ever when observing the cruelty perpetuated among the younger generation when dealing with their peers, it is extreme! Still what is even more disturbing is their unsurprising lack of respect for the authorities, leaders and the older generation in general.
Still its not difficult to understand with the adults perpetrating so many crimes in full view of them, and speaking such negative things into existence, conversations about death, sexually explicit and adult content should be censored. If these children continue to evolve within that scope and be better than the examples they have been given would be expecting too much of them. If we speak positively and take care to teach principles, manners and censor the content from them that is for older persons they would be better prepared for negotiating the boundaries of morality and the difficult tests that life will give them.
Is it helpful to discuss things with them or in front of them that encourage them to tackle issues that are beyond their young minds level of experience or encourage them to disrespect their elders, have no regard for privacy laws, data protection or even the law in general?!
Since I hear people using their children as an excuse for this and that everyday, for better treatment for sympathy, for better facilities etc they need to use their children as a motivation to do better!

FACT vs FICTION - Ghetto Myths or Urban Legend?
GHETTO MYTHS or URBAN LEGEND - There are so many stories that are told and have been told.. that if properly researched and scientifically analysed have no foundation in truth or at least the proof of this truth remains to be found.. still stories are told and remain alive in the minds of people and in this way they become real, even if they are false.. As we breathe life into them every time they are repeated, shared and even reinvented or retold with a particular twist or style or embellishment added for extra dramatic effect..
Often there are also some good persons who may have lived legendary lives and touched the hearts of many persons in their community, who are remembered for good reason. Memories of them are fond and when spoken of they incite excitement and bring a feeling of joy and warmth as people share stories with smiles and laughter. Stories are told of them to remind everyone that such an extraordinary person really existed there and whether or not they were appreciated whilst they lived there, often the memories and stories of Legends are left behind to inspire others to walk in their footsteps.
Still I don't think that the memory of anyone worth their weight in salt is honoured by telling stories that mislead or discourage persons from finding out the truth. Often in our culture so many stories and lies has been told that at times its almost impossible to tell fact from Fiction! And many families, friends and relationships have been destroyed by the deceitful tongue of liars and the counter-effect of stories being told that once told cannot be untold and things said that cannot be unsaid. Sometimes it can cause devastation that cannot be undone and even families being torn apart that suffer for generations, children don't know the truth about who their families really are etc. And still the stories continue to be told and all too often persons relish sharing stories of other persons misfortune and heartbreak more than they share stories of love, success and honour..
But as Buju said I could go on and on the full has never been told!..

DONT ASK MY...neighbour!
Dont ask my neighbour!.... (The Emotions/The Jones girls) Often you will hear me make musical references in my writing as I am a Singer, a Performing Artiste and a huge fan of all kinds of music. My thoughts tend to play out like a musical at times, as almost everything and every moment has a song to go with it!
Still today and many days I am asking myself, this question. Why do people say they know you when they have never even had a face to face meeting with you, let alone a relationship of any type never mind an intimate one!
Now I will keep this professional, I don't want to use any expletives to express myself as my vocabulary is not restricted; in fact quite the opposite. If I allow myself to become emotional about some of the persons attempting to somehow fit themselves into my life story, but not for positive effect. I would have a variety of verbs, nouns, pronouns and expletives to alternate between. Still some people would say that ignoring persons like this is the best solution.
But when you find that your personal reputation has been damaged by persons who don't even know you or haven't even had a conversation with you, that persons actually use this fabricated nonsense against you to try to destroy your career, business, reputation, financial and personal relationships etc. Then you know that ignoring the problem wont make it go away and is not a viable solution. Talking alone can't help, likewise talking about persons behind their back with unqualified or qualified persons even, without proper research and investigation leaves you with nothing to share but idle gossip.
So for all those who actually want to know me or say something to me or be in my life - its really not that hard, if you know me at all you would realise by now how easy it is to start a dialogue with me. Further if you are aware that I am a Sales/Marketing and Communications specialist and this is how I make my money by communicating effectively and connecting clients with products and services. I spend the majority of my time, energy and thoughts processing things that are constructive, that are business oriented and have value to me or add value to my contacts life. So if you are having an issue with communications, contact me and I can outline my consultancy fees and possibly help you resolve YOUR issue. If that is not possible then I suggest you put your money where your mouth is and find some value in the content of what you chose to discuss. And remember not everything that is good fi eat is good fi talk!

NEVER BURN YOUR BRIDGES BEHIND YOU!
NEVER BURN YOUR BRIDGES BEHIND YOU the famous old saying that we all know well.. However it seems that there are many people who dont chose to remember where they are coming from, the old friends or neighbourhood that made them who they are today. Still I think if we were to research this idea of burning bridges in relation to persons who have achieved success in life. I would hazzard a guess that those who keep their connections with "home", with their community, their country and their contacts probably will be in a far better position in the future than their counterparts. This is especially true in the industry of Music, Arts and Entertainment which is known to be fickle and demand for an Artistes product can fluctuate.
Where would persons who rely on reputation, popularity and public support to feed their income be without the support of their peers, their fans, their network. This point is made drastically clear by the importance of having an online presence on Social Media Networks which provides an illusion of accessibility for the fans to connect directly with their chosen Artiste or Celebrity. Still Celebrity status does come with a cost, like everything in life and in the rush to achieve success in the fast lane, many budding stars are only too willing to sacrifice the close bonds with friends, family and communities in their pursuit of fame and fortune. But the old wise owl within me says, "Haste makes Waste" and anything that is worth its weight in Gold in this life is also worth working for.. and patiently waiting in line for and even when necessary fighting for~!

Intro...
This Blog serves as a place for me to share my views, observances and opinions on all that is currently going on, on a Community level, on A National level and in the world in a wider sense.
From the Ghettos to the Cities that i've lived in along the way there has been so many things that I have observed about the nature of people..
Still really the truth is everywhere you go as Lauryn Hill would sing - "Every Ghetto every city and Surburban place ive been".. makes me realise that its the same thing everywhere you go...
People are basically motivated by the same things and the same "shit" is basically going on all over the world everywhere - just in different forms, hues and accents.
