If HEARSAY is not admissable in Court...

Then why are so many people being held on remand for Hearsay for such long periods of time, Why are a lot of the Police I have approached, it seems not investigating cases properly, why do they use their personal opinions to draw full blown conclusions without proper analysis, and why are public prosecutions of persons being held, on the basis of hearsay?..

Conclusions are being drawn, contingencies put in place.. Opinions are formed and cemented in the minds of persons fixated on being judge, jury and often times even executioner.. all before the evidence has even been properly examined if at all, examined. Before any investigation has even taken place into the legitimacy of the information being propagated!

Propaganda - some persons are probably not even aware what the word really means!? And what does this Propaganda do, what is it used for.. to create a climate where the public is being programmed by stories, propaganda; that is information that is being spread by the media and other sources, and used to affect popular opinion in order to achieve a set agenda.. usually for Political reasons. That is my own interpretation.

The dictionary definition is almost the same..

Propaganda - information, especially of a biased or misleading nature, used to promote a political cause or point of view.

Legitimacy is another issue that I will discuss in a later post.. as there are many issues that we face when it relates to legitimacy and legitimacy of information in general. Not only information though, as in our culture due to the popularity of illegitimate relationships and encouraging illegitimate births by making abortion illegal (that is a whole other subject to write about to itself) there are so many issues with illegitimacy... And families, businesses and even laws that are in a state of disorganisation due to lack of legitimacy and lack of legitimate information as so much has been hidden from us for various reasons over the years.

The issue is that persons in our Culture, already "faaasss" way too much of the time. That means that we often like to comment or offer advice on things that are none of our business or concern, or when its not appropriate. More often than not persons who are not even experienced, educated or informed enough to make a proper evaluation of a given situation are all too happy to speak with authority on matters that they are not even able. With the lack of opportunities available here to develop professionally, especially for young, enthusiastic, bright scholars sometimes the tendency to want to dominate, assume authority can lead persons to overstep their place. Often not taking the time to self-analyse and concentrate on remaining, neutral, productive, concentrate on self-improvement. All too busy looking outside, at other persons faults and find fun and enjoyment in displacing others, especially those who are competitors, with their critique. Often enjoying the temporary relief from their own stressful situations by focusing their energy on relieving their frustrations by taking part in the Sport of defacing others.

However all that being said there really is no excuse for the Police, Justice system or Corrections to allow the system to continue wasting our taxpayers money and limited resources, by keeping people on remand for extended periods of time, without any proper evidence, based on hearsay!

It makes no sense to allow persons to manipulate the system, or encourage fear mongering by harassing, blackmailing or spreading propaganda to encourage persons to discriminate or even publicly prosecute innocent persons by attaching labels or blaming them for acts they didn't commit based on hearsay. When the tools and workforce is in place to fulfill the obligations of investigating crimes and providing evidence to prove beyond a doubt in court that alleged guilty persons are in fact guilty as charged. Until such time as we are able to improve the Justice system here in Jamaica, we should in fact in my humble opinion, suspend all judgment, leave all judgment to God Almighty. And remember all persons are entitled to proper legal representation and a fair trial no matter where in the world they find themselves. Human rights do exist - even in Jamaica!
